Safe children’s school yard with Supragom rubber safety tiles
Winter is coming, and also the ski season.
In Surf Evasió, a small store that rents and repairs ski equipment, they know it. So, to get ready, they renewed all the store flooring, placed in Andorra.
We suggested them installing our recycled rubber flooring Energy, in tiles of 6 mm thickness.
This rubber flooring, has a long lasting life cycle thanks to its compact surface. Energy is a very comfortable flooring to step on, and also it reduces the noises of the impacts.
The surface of this flooring is very dense. This makes the maintenance and cleaning very easy and economic.
It is manufactured in different thicknesses. In 50×50 centimeters interlocking tiles. And also in different sizes rolls, according to the thickness.
It is available in black, with small red, blue or grey EPDM chips.
This rubber flooring is suitable for installation in gymnasiums, machine rooms and bodybuilding areas. Also in sports shops, as in this case, or in trade fair stands.
Due to its own characteristics, the rubber has a high coefficient of friction both when it is dry or wet. This makes Energy an antislippery flooring. And that is the main reason why it was chosen for this installation.
The customers enter to the store with their boots covered in snow, which melts with the store heating. These wet areas might create a risk of falls and slips in other types of soils. The rubber that forms Energy flooring avoids this problem.
To avoid leaks and to assure a complete fixation of the flooring, the entire surface was glued. This prevents tile displacements due to the contraction and expansion of the material, due to changes in temperature in the different seasons of the year.
And they liked the material so much, that a spare piece is used to protect the work table.
