The city of Jaén – Andalucía chose Sportex 8 for its two new municipal sports pavilions. One located in Barrio Bulevar and the other in Barrio Santa Isabel. The total floor area installed was 2500m2.
Sportex vinyl flooring was chosen for this project because it is a very resistant and high performance sports material.
Sportex 8 complies with the EN 14904 standard for sports surfaces. It has high shock absorption and vibration reduction, which reduces the risk of injury.
At the same time, it offers optimal ball rebound and excellent vertical deformation. It also provides uniform friction over its entire surface, which ensures perfect balance for the athlete.
It is manufactured in rolls of 2 meters wide and in different thicknesses. And it is available in plain colors or parquet type.
Carlos Martínez Esteban Sports Center (Bulevar Neighborhood)
This center is a tribute to the Real Jaén Fútbol Sala player who died in 2009 at the age of 19 due to a cardiorespiratory arrest.
The pavilion has a central space for sports and a gymnasium. In addition to six locker rooms and three toilet facilities.
Sportex vinyl flooring in light wood and blue was chosen for this sports court.
Manuel Jara Labella Sports Center (Santa Isabel neighborhood)
This sports center is named after the Santo Domingo school teacher. It is a tribute that the city wants to pay him for being a promoter of sports activities, organizing and promoting various sports activities in the city.
In this case, the colors chosen for the Sportex 8 vinyl flooring were light wood and red .
The celebration of both centers was held with an open day, with the presence of some political representatives such as the mayor of the city or the territorial delegate of Education, Culture and Sport. Also attended by relatives of the two people who give name to the centers, and a large number of neighbors.
