PVC tiles for industrial use

Changing the floor of your facility can be a puzzle for an industrialist.

Our Modulfix industrial PVC tiles have a much faster and simpler application system than classic industrial flooring (terrazzo or epoxy resins). Both types of flooring (terrazzo or resins) have a very slow application (and drying) time and must be installed by experienced personnel, besides causing a lot of dust.

However, with our Modulfix puzzle tiles, the preparation of the substrate is limited and the flexibility of the tile allows an adaptation to the screed, even if it is not in perfect condition.

Compact, Modulfix tiles do not break (they have a very high Shore hardness) and are little affected by liquids or grease (as they are made of PVC). Once laid, they give the impression of a continuous, safe floor (R10 slip classification according to DIN 51130), and installations immediately look cleaner and more organized, as you can distinguish zones with the different colors and print any safety pictograms with our Moduprint technology.

We have 3 ranges for industry: Modulfix X9 Extreme (9mm, extra-hard PVC), Modulfix X7 Heavy (7mm, extra-hard PVC) and Modulfix X7 Solid (7mm, standard PVC). Tile dimensions: 50x50cm.
We also have the Modulfix X7 AS antistatic and Modulfix X7 ESD conductive ranges.

The main criteria to take into account for their choice are the weights handled, the type of vehicles circulating in the warehouse (forklifts, stackers, electric or manual system) and the type of wheels (pneumatic or small). Another aspect to take into account is the possible changes in temperature.

The Modulfix X7 Solid 7mm thick range is designed for industrial laboratory sites (maximum recommended weights without gluing, see brochure). It can be manufactured in 11 standard colors. There is the possibility of developing a special color. Ramp system for level changes. Slightly textured surface.

With the Modulfix X7 Heavy 7mm range, we are looking for a highly resistant floor at industrial level. Made of extra-hard PVC, the tile has a Shore D57 hardness (roughly equivalent to a Shore A100). It is laid without gluing in industrial sites (factories, warehouses, warehouses) where vehicles up to 3500-4000kg are used (average temperature around 20-22ºC, depending on the type of wheels). Slightly textured surface, 4 colors available.

The Modulfix X9 Extreme tile is the “all-rounder” of the range. It is a 9mm vinyl floor manufactured with an extra-hard PVC, which gives it more rigidity and increases its resistance. It can withstand forklift traffic up to 6500kg (4 wheel tires). Available in 4 colors, slightly textured surface. Gives the continuous look of painted floors without the drawbacks.

The Modulfix X7 AS (Anti-Static) tile is an antistatic floor according to EN 1081 standard and is used in places where it is necessary to control electrostatic charges (laboratories, factories, server rooms). 2 colors available. Slightly textured surface. Thickness: 7mm.

The Modulfix X7 ESD tile is an antistatic floor according to EN 1081 standard and is used in places where electrostatic charge control is required (laboratories, factories, server rooms). 2 colors available. Slightly textured surface. Thickness: 7mm.

Thanks to our Moduprint printing system, we can screen print any image at the desired size (pictogram, logo…). An exceptional means of communication.

INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE MODULFIX INDUSTRY

Modulfix tiles can be installed floating on all hard surfaces. Cuts are made with a circular saw and installation with a rubber mallet. It is recommended to glue down areas exposed to direct sunlight (open entrances), subject to strong temperature changes or where heavy vehicles circulate or turn.

Modulfix tiles are cleaned with water and a neutral detergent or degreaser suitable for synthetic surfaces. It is possible to use a rotary machine with a not too aggressive brush (it is recommended to test the products and brushes before use). The resistance of the tiles to chemicals is excellent, but it is recommended to make the pertinent tests before installation. Prolonged contact with certain liquids can stain the tile, it is important to clean as soon as possible in order to maintain the appearance of the tile. It is recommended to remove dust from the floor before cleaning.
