Modulfix X7 tile is the ideal floor for car, motorcycle or commercial vehicle workshops, but also in private garages. When a garage decides to change the floor of its premises, it faces several problems. The first of these is the scarcity of alternatives. Specifically, the options that are evaluated are terrazzo floors or continuous flooring (painted concrete or epoxy resins, for example).

Modulfix X7 tiles are much faster to lay than traditional flooring and in many cases can be installed by the client at their own pace. In addition, unlike epoxy or terrazzo floors, Modulfix X7 tiles do not break because they have a very high Shore hardness, and can withstand motorcycle stands or kickstands without any problem.

At the same time, it is a flexible floor, which facilitates its installation in screeds with defects and helps to cushion the fall of parts and tools, avoiding their breakage. Another advantage is that it is little affected by humidity or liquids in a workshop (brake fluids, battery acids, etc.), while continuous floors are more absorbent and contaminable.

With the Modulfix X7 floor, the change of image of the workshop is immediate, and allows to achieve different designs according to the customer’s idea. With a single color, the floor looks homogeneous, continuous, and by mixing colors, a more striking floor is achieved. With our Moduprint printing system, any image can be silk-screened.

Another important aspect is that mechanics find the floor pleasant to walk on as it is less of a strain on the legs and the floor is not as cold in winter compared to painted concrete or terrazzo. R10 slip rating.

INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE MODULFIX GARAGE

Modulfix tiles can be installed floating on all hard surfaces. Cuts are made with a circular saw and installation with a rubber mallet. It is recommended to glue areas exposed to direct sunlight (workshop entrance) or subject to strong temperature changes.

Modulfix tiles are cleaned with water and a neutral detergent or degreaser suitable for synthetic surfaces. It is possible to use a rotary machine with a not too aggressive brush (it is recommended to test the products and brushes before use).
The resistance of the tiles to chemicals is excellent, but it is recommended to make the pertinent tests before installation. Prolonged contact with certain liquids can stain the tile, it is important to clean as soon as possible in order to maintain the appearance of the tile. It is recommended to remove dust from the floor before cleaning.
