The Crossfit training center of El Prat de Llobregat, Crossfit BT contacted us because they had a serious problem with the floor they had for the practice of their activity. The tiles they used to cushion the weights had cracked. They had rubber tiles with holes underneath, which are used as safety flooring in playgrounds, to cushion children’s falls.

This type of tile is not suitable for use in a gym because they end up breaking as you can see in the photo above. In addition, throwing weights or dumbbells on tiles with holes can be dangerous as the weights tend to bounce around quite a bit. The solution we recommended was the Energy CF40 gym floor tile, a 100x100cm and 40mm thick rubber tile.

Energy CF40 tiles are massive, compact and dense and are designed to withstand repeated impacts from weights and dumbbells. Due to their high weight of 30kg/m2, they can be placed in a floating position. In addition, they have a non-slip surface. The most commonly used color is black, although they can be made in other colors such as gray, blue, green, ocher or red, as shown in the following image. Also with colored speckles.

Energy CF is manufactured in various thicknesses from 10mm to 40mm.
