The Jambox Eixample gym in Barcelona is the first gym of the DIR sports chain dedicated to boxing. They define Jambox as a complete physical activity where boxing gestures are combined with functional exercises with and without equipment. For their 160m2 room, they were looking for a floor that was easy to install, resistant to the intense activity of a gym and easy to maintain.
Our recommendation was the Energy 8mm rubber sports floor tile. Energy sports flooring is made from recycled rubber (the black) and EPDM rubber (the colored particles).
They are compact and their density makes them highly resistant to abrasion and weight impacts. The 50x50cm tile has a puzzle type joint that allows it to be placed floating without the use of adhesive (except for direct exposure to the sun through the glass). The installation could be done on the same day.
Another important aspect for the practice of a sport such as boxing is slip resistance and our Energy sports tiles more than meet this criterion.
Other advantages of the tile format is the possibility of changing a piece at any time, but above all of taking the material with you in case of moving. Aesthetically, the joints are not noticeable and the floor has a continuous appearance. However, depending on the activity carried out, it may be necessary to use the format in glued rolls(example of a project in rolls).
Energy sports flooring comes in rolls and tiles and in different thicknesses from 4mm to 10mm.
Energy tiles are maintained with a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and a damp mop with a little neutral detergent.
