The main problem of motorcycle workshops and shops with traditional floors (terrazzo or paintings) generally comes from the trestles and kickstand of motorcycles. They can break the terrazzo and scratch the resins with ease.
The advantages of installing Modulfix industrial floors in motorcycle workshops and shops are multiple.
Both types of flooring mentioned above (resins and terrazzo) have a very slow application time and must be installed by professional staff. However, Modulfix tiles are very quick and easy to install and in many cases can be installed by the customer at his own pace.
Modulfix tiles do not break (they have very high shore hardnesses but at the same time they are flexible) and are little affected by the liquids of a workshop (brake fluids, battery acids, …).
In addition, thanks to this flexibility, they cushion the fall of pieces to the ground, avoiding the breakage of the tools manipulated by the mechanic.
It is true that resins have positive aspects, especially a continuous and clean floor finish. However, it should be noted that once placed, Modulfix industrial tiles give this same feeling of continuity and cleanliness since the joints are barely visible as seen in the photo below.
Thanks to their great resistance to compression, Modulfix tiles are also a very good option in motorbikes and scooters showroom. Easels may leave a small mark, but PVC has a great resilience and returns to shape in no time.
Besides, to personalize motorbikes shops or workshops, our Moduprint printing system can be used to communicate, put your logo or a “Stop” sign, to delimit the restricted areas to the public.
What range of Modulfix tiles should I install on the floor of my motorcycle workshop?
We recommend 2 ranges in 7mm thickness which are the Modulfix X7 Solid and the Modufix X7 Metal. Both come in 12 colors. The difference between these two models lies in the surface of the tile. The Solid range has a slightly textured surface while the Metal range has the appearance of teardrop veneers. Mechanics find the ground pleasant to walk on as the legs are less loaded and the ground is not as cold in winter compared to painted concrete or terrazzo.
Cleaning my Modulfix industrial floor.
We recommend cleaning Modulfix tiles with a rotary machine, degreaser suitable for PVC floors and a brush that is not too aggressive. It is necessary to first sweep the dust accumulated on the ground. Like other floors, when an aggressive liquid (gasoline, acids) falls to the ground, it is recommended to collect it as soon as possible since a prolonged contact could leave stains. Cleaning can also be done manually.
