The floor of a mechanical workshop is subjected to many demands. Passing vehicles, falling tools, spilled liquids or oils… for all these reasons, the choice of flooring is a very important issue.
There are currently many materials available to choose from.
Epoxy paint is an economical option, but has the disadvantage of having to stop the activity for installation. And that it is a material that needs to be renewed every few years, as it cracks and lifts easily.
Ceramic tiles have the disadvantage of not resisting the passage of heavy vehicles or the blows of tools that can fall. This causes cracks and breaks in the floor.
Insutral PVC tiles
These solid PVC tiles are compact and resistant. They meet all these requirements, and they are also very easy to install. They do not crack or break. They withstand the passage of heavy vehicles and impacts. And their useful life is very long.
Moreover, it is not necessary to stop the activity for installation. Thanks to its dovetail system, it is only necessary to tap gently with a rubber mallet to fit one tile to another.
Available in various colors, they can be used to delimit passageways or different work areas.
They also have a range of pictograms to mark crosswalks or access areas. They are manufactured in 50×50 cm and in 7 mm thickness.
Traficline (now Modulfix) industrial PVC tiles are suitable for installation in car, motorcycle or truck repair shops. And they are so resistant that they can also be installed in factories, warehouses and industrial buildings.
Another case of success that we have recently realized with these vinyl tiles, is the workshop Electromobil Roses.
After sending the plan, we made two proposals with different colors, according to the areas they wanted to delimit.
The installation was completed very quickly. Pictograms were placed indicating the pedestrian accesses and signaling the work areas. The parking areas were also indicated.
The result is a safe, resistant and durable floor.
