This is what the owners of Stock Extreme Motos asked us.
They were looking for land for their 90m2 store to be opened in El Prat de Llobregat, Barcelona.
Not only motorcycles would circulate in this store. As it would also be a workshop, lifts and machines necessary for the repair of these vehicles would be installed. In addition to having an office area and another area where the new models of motorcycles could be exhibited.
The problem with painted floors is that they are lifted by vehicular traffic, or by dragging trestles and kickstands. The terrazzo often cracks with the impact of falling tools.
To avoid all these inconveniences, we recommend you to use our industrial PVC tiles. This type of flooring is the one we suggest for high traffic areas, such as a motorcycle workshop. We also recommend them for car or truck workshops.
PVC tiles are compact and extremely resistant. They can withstand the passage of vehicles and the markings of trestles and kickstands. In addition, they tolerate liquids that can be spilled in a workshop, such as grease or oil. And they are very easy to clean.
Installation is quick and easy. Thanks to their puzzle-like shape, they only need to be tapped with a rubber mallet to fit one tile to another. It is not necessary to stop the activity of the company, in case it is already in operation. Nor is it necessary to carry out major construction work.
These vinyl tiles, 50×50 cm and 7 mm thick, are manufactured in various colors. And they can be combined with each other to delimit different work areas.
Another feature of this vinyl flooring is the possibility of printing a logo or photograph at any size, with the Visiofloor system, which makes it an exceptional means of communication.
The project
After the initial consultation, we made a few design proposals, combining tiles of various colors. And we drew up plans so that the client could see how each of the different options would look. And the chosen design was the following:
At the entrance, a corridor was created by interspersing red and white tiles, with the logo surrounded by black tiles in the center.
And in the interior, the different work areas were delimited with gray and black tiles or by creating a checkerboard in two shades of gray. For the showcase area, black and white tiles were combined.
Finally, some yellow tiles were added to mark the crossing areas.
The result is a unique environment, with a safe and resistant floor.
