8 years have passed since the opening of the Sagrada Familia Hostel of the Sant Jordi Hostel chain in Barcelona.
This is how they define it on their website: “Our most modern hostel, equipped with the best facilities. A design hostel that reflects the incessant artistic activity and the vibrant urban culture of Barcelona…the first skate themed hostel in Barcelona, a true skater’s paradise”.
At the time, the architects were looking for a floor that was very resistant as it had to withstand the transit of many travelers, generally with backpacks, 365 days a year. Another aspect to take into account was to have a floor that was easy to clean and had a certain acoustic absorption.
Our recommendation at this time was our Acoustyl acoustic vinyl flooring range which comes in 2m wide rolls.
The recommendation was right because after 8 years and thousands of travelers with their backpacks, the ground is still in perfect condition.

Throughout these 8 years, the Sant Jordi Hostel group has been reforming its other hostels and we have been able to participate in the Rock Palace, or in its hotel Gracia dedicated to the world of bicycles.
Today, Sant Jordi’s day, we can only congratulate the Sant Jordi Hostels group for having developed such beautiful and different hostels to discover Barcelona or Lisbon.
